Professional e-Competence - Norway

no_chart
                   Respondents by Age

Norwegian IT professionals have very IT–focused education backgrounds compared to the rest of Europe. This suggests it may be easier in Norway than in the rest of Europe to source candidates with IT qualifications for advertised roles. However Norwegian IT professionals are some of the oldest surveyed. Just over 4% of the Norwegian respondents are under 30 years of age compared to 16% which is the European average.

Over two thirds of the respondents identified themselves as IT Managers yet only one sixth appeared to have the competences to carry out this role. Even with such a high rate of IT-focused education backgrounds, Norwegian IT professionals showed unstable results for the five e-competence areas of the European e-Competence Framework.
