First Trends of Public Consultation on eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020 Now Online

EC logoThe preliminary trends of the public consultation on the eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020, carried out between 30 October 2015 and 22 January 2016, are now available online. The objective of the consultation was to gather evidence and views on eGovernment in the EU from individuals, organisations and public administrations. It reveals that there is clear support for a number of principles to be applied to eGovernment policies and services in the EU, such as privacy by default, digital by default, cross-border by default, open by default, online end-to-end services, inclusive by default and transparency. The full report will be published online in March. eGovernment is seen as a crucial part of the actions needed to achieve the Digital Single Market.
