Next Bebras Competition International Task Workshop to Take Place in Austria in May

BEBRASIn 2014 more than 930,000 pupils from 35 countries participated in the computational thinking online-contest ‘Bebras’ (Lithuanian for beaver). All school pupils in primary and secondary education may participate and no specific prior knowledge is necessary. While solving the 18 problems of their age group, students prove and develop their computational thinking skills. The tasks involve problems concerning modelling, information representation, encryption, programming, algorithms, data structures, etc. In an annual workshop, experts from all Bebras countries meet to discuss and prepare tasks. Each country provides a set of task proposals, and the whole pool of proposals is then discussed at the workshop. The next workshop will be held on 25 - 29 May 2015 in St. Pölten, Austria.
