EC: Digital Single Market Strategy is a Priority in 2015

ec_logo_2012One of the Commission’s priorities in 2015 will be to deliver a strategy for the digital single market, according to its recently published work programme.

The strategy will identify the major challenges that need to be addressed in order to complete a secure, trustworthy, and dynamic digital single market. The strategy will focus on six strands, such as boosting skills and learning, world-class ICT research and innovation, and enhanced cyber-security, among others.

The completion of the digital single market is estimated to generate up to EUR 250 billion of additional growth in Europe by 2019.
