CEPIS Awards the European Digital Girl of the Year at the e-Skills for Jobs High-Level Conference

Digital Girl of the Year 2014CEPIS Secretary General, Fiona Fanning, presented the winner of the Digital Girl of the Year, 11 and over category of the Ada Awards, at the e-Skills for Jobs high-level conference in Rome.

The prize was won by eleven-year-old Manon Van Hoorebeke, who actively coaches other children, and especially girls, to learn coding and to be interested in technology.

Nine-year-old Lauren Boyle, who mentors at Coder Dojo in Ireland teaching kids Scratch, HTML, and CSS, won the 10 and under category. Esther Roure Vila, was awarded the title of Digital Woman of the Year, and the Stemettes won the Digital Impact Organisation category.
