Discover the New European Industrial Strategy for Electronics

Micro- and nano-electronics are the essential building blocks of society and the digital economy and it is estimated that their production employs directly more than 200,000 people in Europe. The European Commission announced at the end of May a new industrial strategy for electronics to support investments in research and development (R&D) so as to secure Europe’s capability to design and manufacture electronic components. The objective is to bring together €1.5 billion per year for R&D. This funding is to come mainly from the industry, followed by the EU at around 30% and the rest will come from national and regional funds. More on the European Industrial Strategy for Electronics
