Almost a Quarter of 16 – 74 Year Olds have Never used the Internet

The latest results from a Eurostat survey on ICT usage in households and by individuals in Member States show that in 2011 almost three quarters of households had access to the internet, with more than two thirds using broadband connections. More than two thirds of individuals had used the internet regularly whereas 24% of individuals had never used the internet. Although this proportion has only decreased by 2% since the previous year, reducing to 15% the number of people in the EU-27 that have never used the internet by 2015 remains possible.
