CEDEFOP to Analyse Skills and Competence Needs in 2012-2014

The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) has recently outlined their priorities for the period 2012-2014. The strategy will be focused on youth (due to high youth unemployment rates); ageing workers (who must continue a productive working life); and low-skilled individuals (who are at risk of long-term unemployment).

Over the next two years, CEDEFOP aims to work in key strategic areas, including:

  • skills forecasts
  • researching skills mismatches
  • monitoring skills and competence needs in the workplace
  • supporting interaction between education and training, and the labour market
