European Higher Education Area Launched

The European Commission (EC) and 46 Education Ministers from across Europe recently launched the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) to mark the tenth anniversary of the Bologna Process reform.

A brochure has been published to highlight the contribution of EU policies and programmes to the EHEA.

Higher education institutions will have a central role in adapting to Europe's changing skills needs, in order to contribute to the success of society and economy. Some scenarios foresee that there will not be enough young people entering higher education to be able to supply the predicted demand for skills.
