European e-Skills Week: Opportunities in your country

e-Skills Week is a pan-European awareness raising campaign to promote e-Skills to the general public, young people, ICT practitioners, enterprises (particularly SMEs) and policy makers.

The campaign will highlight opportunities available through ICT-related jobs and will encourage greater uptake of ICT studies and careers. This initiative of the European Commission will take place across more than 20 European countries and reach more than 300,000 people.  It is an opportunity for CEPIS members and all organisations involved in ICT skills to highlight the importance of e-Skills for the future of your country and Europe.

The campaign has already begun and will continue until March 2010 when it culminates in a week of European-level activities.  It is expected that hundreds of ICT-related activities will take place during the campaign including training events, competitions, IT camps, and conferences.

CEPIS is a pan-European stakeholder and would like to encourage all organisations involved in skills, both professional and end-user, to join the campaign. If you are interested in the initiative and would like to register please click here.

We are delighted to announce that the following CEPIS members are already actively participating in this campaign while others are preparing their activities:

Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, SlovakiaSweden, Serbia & Montenegro.
