EC publishes report on the public consultation on e-Inclusion Policy

The European Commission has recently published a report on a public consultation launched on 4th March 2009 through the platform 'Your voice'.

The consultation, which closed in April 2009, gathered opinions on the role of e-Inclusion in the next EU strategy on the Information Society which will follow the i2010 initiative.  It also gathered opinions on possible supporting activities, programmes and partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
Results of the consultation show an overall positive view of European e-Inclusion policy.  The key outcomes stress that digital competences and under educated people should be perceived as priorities for e-inclusion activities, while national and regional authorities and providers of public services are the most capable of introducing positive developments.
